JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Cook
Directly Reports To: F&B Director
Status: Hourly
Description
Maintain quality standards of product preparation and kitchen operation.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Daily production of quality food in a timely manner.
- Ordering product and stocking of product as needed.
- Cleaning of cooking equipment daily.
- Proper monitoring of safe food handling practices.
- Plan how the regular duties should be carried out.
- Washing dishes as needed, mopping kitchen floors, and dumping of garbage.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of food and nutrition.
- Knowledge in knife skills.
- Know the proper technique in food preparation.
- Ability to read, write and speak English required.
- Possession of good communications skills.
- Should be able to multitask.
- Possess a high degree of cleanliness.
- Physical Requirements – ability to lift materials up to 75 lbs.; stand for long periods of time; dealing with fluctuations of temperature from hot to cold; high stress levels during peak periods.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year cook experience.
