JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:                       Cook

Directly Reports To:     F&B Director

Status:                          Hourly

Description

Maintain quality standards of product preparation and kitchen operation.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily production of quality food in a timely manner.
  • Ordering product and stocking of product as needed.
  • Cleaning of cooking equipment daily.
  • Proper monitoring of safe food handling practices.
  • Plan how the regular duties should be carried out.
  • Washing dishes as needed, mopping kitchen floors, and dumping of garbage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of food and nutrition.
  • Knowledge in knife skills.
  • Know the proper technique in food preparation.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English required.
  • Possession of good communications skills.
  • Should be able to multitask.
  • Possess a high degree of cleanliness.
  • Physical Requirements – ability to lift materials up to 75 lbs.; stand for long periods of time; dealing with fluctuations of temperature from hot to cold; high stress levels during peak periods.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year cook experience.
